Terms and Conditions for Volunteer

We express gratitude to you for your interest in volunteering for Sankalp Charitable Trust. Your dedication and commitment to positively impacting the lives of those we serve is greatly appreciated. Please carefully read and understand the terms and conditions outlined below before proceeding. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you acknowledge and consent to abide by the rules, policies, and guidelines established by Sankalp Charitable Trust for all volunteers.

1. Eligibility: To become a living Dwij volunteer, meeting the minimum age criteria set by Sankalp Charitable Trust is necessary. It is important to note that the age requirement is not flexible and cannot be lowered under any circumstances. As part of the official procedure, you may be asked to provide your authentic identification card or undergo a background check. Living Dwij puts these prudent measures in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all those Living Dwijs involved in the programs as volunteers.
2. Volunteer Agreement: After deciding to be a Living Dwij volunteer, you will agree to sign a volunteer agreement or contract confirming your commitment to Sankalp Charitable Trust and their/our understanding of the terms and conditions.
3. Opportunity: The Sankalp Charitable Trust will provide details about the specific charity project and assigned responsibilities expected from you, including information on the project, time commitment, location, and any necessary training that is required for you. As a volunteer, you agree to perform the assigned tasks to the best of your abilities and seek guidance from Sankalp Charitable Trust when needed.
4. Rights and Responsibilities: You will agree to adhere to the Living Dwij mission, values, and code of conduct under Sankalp Charitable Trust, which you need to follow religiously. You need to understand/accept that you are representing Living Dwij in a dignified and respectful manner, following the Living Dwij principles, values and virtues as in character. You must agree to maintain confidentiality regarding any sensitive information you may come across about Sankalp Charitable Trust and its supporting bodies during your volunteering activities. You acknowledge that any work or intellectual property created during their volunteering belongs to the Sankalp Charitable Trust.
5. Health and Safety: You agree to comply with health and safety guidelines provided by the Sankalp Charitable Trust, including proper use of equipment, reporting accidents or incidents, and attending any required training sessions related to health in between. You are responsible for your own health and safety and should promptly report any concerns to the appropriate authority within the Sankalp Charitable Trust.
6. Supervision and Support: The Sankalp will assign an administrator or mentor to guide and support you for the assigned charity project. You agree to accept feedback, follow instructions, and seek assistance from the designated supervisor when needed.
7. Duration and Schedule: You agree to commit to the volunteering duration as agreed upon with Sankalp Charitable Trust, including the start and end dates. You will adhere to the agreed-upon schedule, informing the Sankalp Charitable Trust in advance of any changes or unavailability.
8. Termination: Either you or Sankalp Charitable Trust may terminate the volunteering arrangement at any time, with or without cause, by providing reasonable notice. You agree to return any property or materials belonging to Sankalp Charitable Trust and its concerned organisations upon termination.
9. Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be regulated by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any legal action originating from these Terms and Conditions must be brought in the relevant court.
10. You agree that this Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Indian laws. If any disputes arise from this Agreement, I understand that they shall be resolved in the Indian court.
11. It is important to note that you must hold a valid passport/visa for the entirety of your travel duration. You should obtain an Indian visa. The Sankalp Charitable Trust cannot be held responsible in any case if you fail to do so.
12. Not a Permanent Employee: Please note that becoming a Living Dwij volunteer does not grant you the opportunity to become a full-time employee of the organisation. This is a voluntary endeavour aimed at contributing to society and helping those in need. Thank you for your interest in our cause!

As a Living Dwij volunteer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. You also confirm that you have provided accurate and truthful information to the Sankalp Charitable Trust by accepting these terms and conditions.
