I’m ‘BRAHM’

(Based on the live discourse of Param Dwij)

Om-Tat-Sat‘Daata’ is in my remembrance!

Me and ‘Brahm’ (God)!

Whenever the level of consciousness rises so high, one often starts feeling that ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ – I am ‘Brahm’.

…and this is the reality.

If you are not ‘Brahm’, then you are in illusion. If you are not ‘Brahm’, then who is ‘Brahm’? Ever since this world was created, ever since this universe, ever since this earth, ever since the human soul took birth on this earth, from then till today, the search for only one thing, from the beginning till today – we have been curious about and engaged in search of the ‘Daata’, of the ‘God’, of the ‘Supreme Soul’, of ‘Par-Brahm’, of ‘Brahm’, of the ‘Supreme Consciousness’.

We’ve advanced a lot in scientific research. We have landed on the moon. We will reach other planets, too. But a search, and perhaps an eternal search, a desire, a burning fire within the human heart, is to find the abode of the ‘Supreme Soul’ and meet the ‘Daata’ – to gain absolute liberation – ‘Moksh’!

There are many types of consciousnesses in our universe. Plants have consciousness. There is life in plants. Then, there are other living beings, such as animals, insects, birds, and humans. But, the human consciousness is the supreme consciousness. The reason for this is that as human beings, we have the power to raise the level of our consciousness as high as we want and realise the absolute ‘Truth’, the God, and merge into Him. Humans are the only living beings who can gain the highest possible spiritual knowledge and realise absolute clarity about things and facts. The human mind can work as a mirror where you can see the reflection of the ‘self’ and ‘Brahm’, in which the shadow of the ‘Daata’ is manifested, though there is no substance in the shadow, at least an opportunity to learn that the ‘Truth’ exists. Without reality, even a shadow cannot arise. And it is possible only for the human consciousness.

For many births, we have been searching for God, and we don’t know how many more births we will keep coming into this world in the same way, and every time that searches to find the ‘Daata’ will continue.

Now, I come back to my previous question of whether we are ‘Brahm’. ‘Aham Brahmasmi’, is it correct? Several people have realised this and have said it in their own way. And, there have been people in every religion who have said this. They have spoken in different languages, but this is precisely what those realised people have said – ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ – I am ‘Brahm’.

The fact is that when the level of human consciousness reaches that high, then there cannot be any other sound that the mind can hear. When that reflection appears in your mind when the veil is removed, and the reality emerges in front of your eyes, then you will say nothing but “I am the ‘Brahm’”. Then you will say that, ‘Aham Brahmasmi’. And then you will say, “Unalhak” – I’m Truth – I’m ‘Brahm’. People in different religions have attained this highest possible level of consciousness and, after realisation, have said the same thing in their own languages.

In this universe, such souls will keep coming, who will reach there and realise the ‘Oneness’ with the Supreme Consciousness, the Supreme Soul, the God. and will say – ‘Aham Brahmasmi’!

And we will repeat and praise OR argue against and fight on their teachings and what they wrote or said.

But, if they have realised that they are ‘Brahm’, then you are also ‘Brahm’.

If their consciousness can be ‘Brahm’ in human form, then don’t be under the illusion that you are not ‘Brahm’. You are also the same. Because all the energies in the universe emanate from only ‘One’, the ‘Daata’. We are born only from the ‘Daata’, from His powers and energies as His energy flows in everything in the ‘Brahmand’, the universe. Every moment, His energy is in everything: in stones, Plants, birds, insects and animals, us and every particle in the universe. It is in you too, and it is as much as it is in me, and as much as it was in those who have said – ‘Aham Brahmasmi’!

Many people inspire us. Mahavir Jain is there, Gautam Buddha is there, Mohammed, Jesus, Ram and Krishna are there, Ramanuja, Meera, Ramakrishna Paramhans, Laotse are there, and there are many people who have reached there, who have realised the identity of the self with ‘Brahm’, who have found God. They might have reached it by different routes or paths. Everyone’s path may differ, and there is no harm if that takes you to the destination. If the path is visible and apparent, you go through it or that path; it doesn’t matter.

A path can be short or long. But what difference does it make? How does it matter that my way is better than your way. What difference does it make? If your path can also take you to your destination, then walk on your path. Because if you follow your path, it will be easy for you as long as you know that that path will take you to your destination, to help you achieve the sole purpose of life to gain liberation, ‘Jeevan Mukti’ – ‘Moksh’. So don’t abuse your path. Don’t abuse other’s path. If all roads lead to the same destination, then no road can be wrong. They can be short or long, but what difference does it make?

We have taken many births, and we will take many more births until we gain absolute liberation. Even if we have not taken birth before and will not take another birth, is this birth that we have already got not long enough to achieve the sole purpose of life?

Like Shri Krishna, sometimes someone becomes so paramount, rises so high in self-awareness and soul consciousness, that they realise themselves as ‘Brahm’, become God, and says –

“Yada yada hi dharmasya glanirbhavati Bharat.

Abhyutthanamadharmasya tadatmanam srijamyham.”

That, whenever there will be loss of religion, whenever there will be insult of religion, whenever there will be destruction of religion, I will again take birth to protect and establish the religion.

Which religion Shri Krishna is talking about in Gita? How many religions were there that had conflicts? There was only one religion. All were of the same religion. So what does it mean when Krishna is talking about the loss or insult of religion and the protection or establishment of the same?

Religion or ‘Dharma’ means the way of life, how life should be lived, and what you should and should not do. Dharma means behaving with the original and eternal qualities of the soul in all social interactions – the fundamental qualities of the soul, of Love, peace, power, purity, knowledge (spiritual), happiness and bliss- the seven qualities I have spoken about earlier.

Krishna talks about that ‘dharma’ and says that if you deviate from your ‘dharma’, if you destroy ‘dharma’ if you tamper with ‘dharma’, then I will again take birth to reestablish it.

How supreme Shri Krishna’s consciousness level would have been when he said this!

What height Shri Krishna’s consciousness would have achieved when through his mouth, in physical body, in a human form, standing on top of the chariot, he had said, ‘O Arjuna, look, everyone is coming to me, everyone will merge into me only, everything will end in me,  everything emerges from me – This earth, this sky, these trees etc, all are my various forms. So, believe in me and do not worry about anything.

What do you think that the Supreme Soul, Allah, the ‘Daata’, the Supreme Consciousness, the ‘Brahm’, the God, is speaking to Arjuna? No. Krishna’s level of consciousness is so great at that moment that he himself has become ‘Brahm-Swaroop’. At that moment, Krishna is seated there in the abode of supreme consciousness and speaking to Arjuna from there. Krishna’s level of consciousness was so high at that moment that he was equal to God, so when he said all this to Arjuna, it was as true as if God Himself was speaking to Arjuna. He asks, “Why are you upset when everything is born from me? Everything will end in me, and everything will disappear in me. Everything. So, stop worrying unnecessarily because there is nothing to worry about.

What have you done in life of your own free will? Game of gambling had to happen between ‘Pandavas’ and ‘Kauravas’. ‘Pandvas’ had to go to the forest. They had to come back from there. The war of ‘Mahabharat’ has to happen. What can you do? You can not do anything. No matter how big or powerful you become, whatever I wish that will happen. This can only be spoken from the highest possible consciousness someone can achieve.

So stop worrying unnecessarily. Do not worry. Do your work. Follow your religion. Don’t fight with your soul. At all times, at every moment, in every situation, remember only one thing: the original qualities of the soul you are, my eternal qualities, of which you are part and parcel. Follow your ‘dharma’, follow your original nature, your eternal ‘prakriti’, and do not part with that.

Our ‘Dharma’ is to rediscover our hidden or lost ‘sanskaras’, our original nature of the soul. That is our religion to develop those impressions to their full capacity. If love is my nature, then I can only give love. If purity is my nature, then no one can spoil my purity. If I am a powerful soul, then no one can disturb me. If I am calm, then no one can disturb me. If I am knowledgeable…

What is the meaning of knowledge? We talk about knowledge in very different ways. But what does knowledge mean here in terms of the quality of the soul?

Knowledge means spiritual knowledge. It means the absolute clarity about the things and the facts. The reality of things and facts of the universe. And the day we gain this real knowledge, the distraction will automatically stop.

I am blissful. Bliss is my fundamental right, my fundamental quality, if there is no conditioning of the society, if there is no competition, if there is no discrimination of any kind in the society.

Bliss is just like a one-year-old child. In the state of happiness for no reason. In a state of joy by himself. The child will cry if hungry or for any other bodily problems, but otherwise, he is automatically in joy, in a blissful state.

Maybe that’s all for today!

Many people we know have had enlightenment in life; I have named a few. And there have been many others who we do not know, but they have also attained that stage of super consciousness of being one with the ‘daata’. You don’t know, I don’t know, but many people have reached there.

However, it is necessary to have the knowledge of the reality of things and facts as they truly are. The real knowledge of what is real and what is fake, what is permanent and what is temporary.

Lots of best wishes.

Om Tat Sat!

…Param Dwij
