Living Dwij Percepts
Param Dwij recommends all ‘Dwijs’ to follow the following twelve commandments of the ‘Daata’ in ‘Dwij’ life.
- Non-violence – refrain from harming ‘Daata’s’ creation including material and non-material things, and living beings including humans, animals, birds and insects for personal gain, enjoyment or belief.
- No-intoxication – refrain from consuming alcohol, tobacco, and other intoxicants
- Refrain from speaking, hearing, seeing, thinking and doing things that spiritual intellect (heart) considers wrong.
- Practice celibacy and especially refrain from sexual misconduct.
- Refrain from stealing including the thought of stealing emerging out of the desire of possessing something.
- Perform a charity, donate and volunteer – associate yourself with at least one charity in life that contributes positively to the life of others and the ‘Daata’s’ creation. Make donations and volunteer your time to the cause ‘Living Dwij’ where possible.
- Perform actions without the desire for any fruits from them – ‘Akarm’.
- Follow a healthy life-style including food and physical exercises.
- Participate in the mobilisation of people to contribute to ‘Living Dwij’ objectives, cause and purpose.
- Avoid twelve vices of despair, fear, indolence, greed, jealousy, expectation, suspicion, lust, vanity, ego, anger, and infatuation.
- Follow cleanliness practices by keeping yourself and your surroundings clean.
- Respect others as fellow souls who are also part and parcel of the same Supreme Soul, the ‘Daata’ and keep your focus on the ‘Oneness’ in everything.
