Dwijodaya: A Sacred Awakening of the Soul

(Based on the live discourse of Param Dwij)
(परम द्विज के प्रवचन पर आधारित)

Dearest seekers of wisdom and truth,

Today, as the sun rises on this prosperous day of Dwijodaya, let us stand still for a moment, close our eyes briefly, and experience the tender hug of the divine ‘daata’. Can you feel it? The whisper of awakening, the gentle call of transformation, and the warmth of spiritual rebirth? This is not just an ordinary day; this is the transformation of wisdom, the awakening of higher consciousness, and a chance to be re-born.

What is Dwijodaya?

Dwijodaya is not a festival; it is an awakening. Dwij is a term that refers to “twice-born”—not physically, but re-born spiritually. It is the time when the soul is awakened, leaving behind its ignorance and embracing the light of eternal truth. On this day, we commemorate the birth of Living Dwij, a humanitarian movement dedicated to leading every soul to its divine mission, i.e. to be re-born again in this world with profound consciousness.

But I must ask you this: What does rebirth signify to you? Is it a change of mind only, or is it an overhaul of the heart and the mind? Think about this as we travel together into the core of Dwijodaya.

The Birth of Living Dwij: A Vision of Oneness

In a universe that tends to live on separation—whether by caste, creed, or religion—Living Dwij dreams of an existence of unity. A realm where spirits are not tagged, where love is not limited, and where truth is not constricted by dogma. Our purpose is a simple one but one of depth: to light the way of knowledge and guide seekers toward inner peace and greater truth.

Picture yourself at the edge of a peaceful river. The water in front of you is quiet, mirroring the expansive sky above. With each step forward, the waves radiate out, touching whatever they come across. This is the path to enlightenment—awakened once, your own light will radiate out, spreading waves of change.

Why Do We Celebrate Dwijodaya?

You might ask, “Why is this day so special? Why must we celebrate?” The answer lies within you.

Dwijodaya is the reaffirmation of our dedication—a reminder that we are not merely bodies moving through existence but souls seeking purpose and spiritual enlightenment. It is the day we remind ourselves to:

  • Rise above our limitations
  • Seek wisdom beyond material pursuits
  • Foster love, unity, and compassion
  • Walk the path of truth, even when it is difficult

Breathe in deep. Hold it briefly. Now, slowly exhale. Lighter? That is the feeling of releasing burdens of the past—all the past conditioning. Dwijodaya asks you to release—old wounds, doubts, and fears—and walk into the light of clarity.

The Blessings of Daata: A Divine Presence

On this holy occasion, we wish for the favour and support of ‘Daata’, the holy bestower of wisdom and enlightenment. His soul is not attached to temples or rituals; he resides in each heart that pumps with honesty and kindness. May Daata bless us with wisdom, enlightenment, and deep love.

Do you ever feel lost? Do you ever wonder why you exist in this chaotic world? Close your eyes and mutter a quiet prayer. Seek Daata’s profound guidance. And believe me, dear souls, the answers shall come to you—not in sweeping sudden revelations, but in the still moments, in the faint signs, in the soft nudge of the universe.

Your Role in This Divine Journey

Now, let’s turn inward. This is not just a celebration to witness but an experience to partake in. What can you do today to honour this divine rebirth?

  • Reflect: Take a few minutes in silence and ask yourself, “What is holding me back?” Write it down. Release it.
  • Reconnect: Reach out to someone you’ve lost touch with. Spread love. Bridge the gaps.
  • Recommit: Make a small promise to yourself—whether reading a book on wisdom, meditating for five minutes a day, or simply choosing kindness over anger.

Transformation does not happen in a single day, but a single step can lead to a thousand miles of growth.

Dwijodaya Is Yours to Celebrate

As we reach the end of this holy reflection, I ask you: How will you honour Dwijodaya today? Will you accept this chance to be re-born in wisdom? Will you pursue truth above the clamour of the world? The decision is yours.

Let us travel this journey together, hand in hand, soul to soul, and heart to heart. May Dwijodaya’s light shine on you. May the blessing of Daata light the path on your journey. May you forever be guided to return to that which is true and abides within you.
