Spiritual Wellness And its Benefits

If we look at the literal meaning of the word ‘wellness,’ that means ‘in the state of being in good health’, and when it comes to good health, people think only of physical fitness, being free from ailments and injuries. 

Spiritual wellness denotes a broader sense of health. It talks about more comprehensive and deeper meanings. It is never visible, but it impacts the whole well-being – physical and mental.

People must take enough care of spiritual wellness as they rush to the hospital after physical issues to find a remedy for their suffering and get cured. Still, they remain negligent at having inner disturbances. They never attempt to fix them.

Param Dwij says that spiritual wellness is something imperceptible we carry within in the form of principles, philosophy, beliefs, values, and set morals that make one more of a human of thoughts and leads them on the path of their life purpose. This is a matter of careful study that spiritual well-being is a purely individual experience. So, it is not like medical science. What method may work for one person may not work for another person. It may require some experiments to find what works best in life. One who wishes for spiritual wellness should respect and honour others’ beliefs, rituals and practices, even if he/she does not accept theirs and stay different from his/her.
