Spirituality is the Ground for Humanity

(Based on the live discourse of Param Dwij)

Sit comfortably, close your eyes and see at the centre of the forehead. What you see is an enormous void space illumined with exceptional light and nothing – no cities, no towns, no rush, no rivers, no hills – it is only when you are conscious of who you are in the true sense.

Have you ever thought that when you sleep in the night, it seems as if you are sojourning through a series of incidents in the dream? How is it possible you see something even in the state of you are sleeping?

The fact is, in true form, you are not a body, whereas you are a soul residing in this body. In other words, we can say we are a spiritual entity and have material experience. But the irony we get engrossed in corporal life so much that we forget ‘who we are in the truest form’.

So, it can be addressed that spirituality is the foreground of humanity that makes us realise our place and purpose of our birth in this world and our connection with the ‘Daata’, the Supreme Energy who exists in all the beings of the world. It makes our third eye, awakening our consciousness and establishing an intricate relationship with the world around us and an empathy and understanding that we are a part of the Enormous Being, which is way larger than the bodily human we are.

In the words of Param Dwij, undoubtedly, spirituality is a significant aspect of our existence and the experiences we possess. It has been explored, practised and celebrated across the world, regardless of culture, religion, or community. In fact, it has been traced importance in history since ancient times. If we go back in the past since ancient times and come to the present highly developed modern world, spirituality for humans remains a driving force in constructing human behaviours and shaping our understanding of the world.

The fundamental facade of spirituality is the realisation and recognition that there is something that exists beyond this physical realm which is at the centre of all existence. This makes one aware and establishes beliefs in the Supreme Being, a higher energy, and gives a universal consciousness that many things exist beyond what we can and touch. This leads the people to realise the true purpose of their coming into the material nature of being an eternal entity. It develops a sense of meaning and fulfilment in our mortal life.

And the next aspect is that it fills a sense of sense of connectedness with other Jeev, souls of the world, with a divine thread. Once we embrace our true identity as a soul, we recognise that we are eternal and part of ‘Oneness’ – a greater whole. This interconnectedness can help us develop a greater sense of empathy and compassion for other beings, not just humans, and a massive admiration and a sense of indebtedness towards the universe.

Spirituality in the human world serves to create a roadmap for examining our own sense of morals and ethics that makes us refined social creatures. By analysing our beliefs and values and reflecting on our experiences of the world around us, we may better grasp what is actually important to us and how we might conduct our lives in a way that is consistent with our innermost values.

Eventually, spirituality opens out to humanity to create an awareness of purpose, togetherness, and ethical principles, which may help humanity explore the solution to problems related to our existence. It provides a feeling of serenity and equilibrium amid life’s struggles by allowing us to scrutinise the answers to our most complicated questions and pursuit for answers to life’s greatest mysteries.

In a true sense, spirituality is the ground for humanity that provides us with an outline for considering our purpose of getting born into this world and our relationship with something greater than our being – a material entity. It provides our true purpose, essential human emotion and values, and establishes an ever-flowing bliss within.
