For new parents, it can be difficult to determine the best approach to parenting, which can lead to feelings of stress and uncertainty. However, as your child grows, there are a variety of strategies you can implement to support their development, including adopting a positive parenting approach, prioritizing their safety, and promoting their overall health and well-being. By engaging in these exercises, you can gain a deeper understanding of your child’s growth and development and provide them with the tools they need to thrive. 1. The purpose of this course:

It is to help you learn principles and communication skills to create a happy and nurturing climate within your home.

2. The Goal of Parenting:

Our primary goal, as we parent, is not just solving an immediate problem but rather the long-term maturation and development of our children.

3. Overview of Family Climate:

Families vary on two dimensions: how responsive we are to our children and how demanding we are. These dimensions result in four styles of parenting: uninvolved, permissive, authoritarian, and nurturing.

4. The Permissive Climate:

Help you understand the characteristics of a permissive climate and share examples of parenting young children and teens when we are permissive.

Guides you through the clingy ways of parenting and how to avoid them.
